Undergraduate Research Scholarship

Student status

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate programme at GTU and have fourth-year status on the announcement date.
• Have active student status; applicants with suspended registration, special-student status or inactive status are not eligible.
• Have received no disciplinary penalty under the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulation.

Programme fit and commitments

• Priority is given to undergraduate programmes related to the laboratory’s research areas, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and communications.
• Commit to at least 15 hours of laboratory work per week and attendance at weekly team meetings.
• Not receive a scholarship from another institution, excluding KYK scholarships and loans.
• Submit no false or misleading information or documents.

Required application documents

• Application form, current student certificate, approved transcript, curriculum vitae and a letter of intent of no more than one page.
• Project and competition experience, research programme roles and work experience used for scoring must be documented.
• Incomplete or late applications are not evaluated.

Laboratory and project work

Participate regularly for at least 15 hours per week, attend weekly meetings and contribute to assigned research, project and laboratory activities.

Documentation and conduct

Submit a brief monthly progress report and follow research and publication ethics, occupational health and safety rules, and the laboratory’s working arrangements.

Performance monitoring

Performance is evaluated through attendance, monthly reports and completion of assigned tasks. Scholarship status is administered in accordance with the official programme guidelines.
